A Legal Entity Identifier (or LEI), is a 20-character identifier that identifies distinct legal entities that engage in financial transactions. LEI is a global standard required by all companies that wish to pursue trading when financial markets open again on Tuesday 2nd January.

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) is not directly issuing Legal Entity Identifiers, but instead it delegates this responsibility to Local Operating Units (LOUs). Arctic Securities is cooperating closely with one of these LOU’s and are certified to produce LEI’s.

All Norwegian and Swedish companies that wish to optain a LEI number before the January deadline can utilize Arctic LEI registration. A LEI application is easily completed with your company details downloaded from public records. Once finalized, your application is signed with you personal BankID.
