Stockholm / Oslo [Jan. 26, 2026]

The Nordic Investment Bank Arctic Securities ramps up its Swedish operations, supporting its long-term growth strategy of offering all Arctic’s core products across the Nordic markets. The Stockholm office is being expanded with new senior hires across investment banking, sales and research, adding capabilities in Equity Capital Markets while further reinforcing M&A advisory, as well as equity sales and research. Gustav Rosén will assume the role of CEO Sweden. Arctic Securities expects further additions to the Swedish team going forward.

“This is an important strategic step for Arctic Securities. We have been actively involved in major Swedish transactions for several years, having a market-leading Debt Capital Markets team. Expanding the local presence is a natural next step, as the Swedish capital market remains one of the most dynamic in the Nordics. Our new highly experienced colleagues add to our strong platform and allow us to accelerate our growth ambitions and deliver an even broader offering to our clients,” says Mads Syversen, CEO of Arctic Securities.

Adding experienced hires and expanding sales and analyst capabilities Arctic Securities has recruited industry expertise with strong track records across equity sales, research and investment banking:

  • Douglas Holmstrand joins Arctic Securities after 14 years at Pareto Securities, where he spent the last seven years as Head of Equities in Sweden. He brings extensive leadership experience across equity sales, trading and distribution. Douglas Holmstrand will assume the role as Head of Equity Sales Sweden.
  • Christian Kopfer joins Arctic Securities after more than 20 years of experience as an equity research analyst. Most recently at Handelsbanken, Christian was ranked #1 by Prospera within Metals & Mining every year from 2014 to 2025, reflecting a long-standing track record of top-tier research and investor relevance.

“I look forward to assuming the CEO role in Sweden, continuing to build a leading Nordic investment bank, with a strong service offering. We are well-positioned to deliver the full Arctic platform to Swedish clients. The momentum in the Swedish market is strong, and I am excited to join the Arctic team to accelerate our growth,” says Gustav Rosén.

“Arctic represents a culture that match my energy and ambitions. My ambition is to build the same strong position in Sweden as Arctic holds in Norway,” says Douglas Holmstrand.
