Arctic Insurance AS' Privacy Statement - data subject rights

Arctic Insurance AS (org. 913 519 272) is required to process personal information from its customers in a proper manner.

This Privacy Statement provides additional information about what type of personal information is collected, how the information is collected and what rights you have if your personal information is registered with us. The chief executive officer is responsible for processing personal information in connection with all services provided by Arctic Insurance AS. The role as Data Protection Officer is delegated to Ellen Framhus

Purpose of Treatment

Arctic Insurance processes personal information about customers and customer employees, as well as relevant third parties required for the performance of contractual obligations.

Legal Basis

Personal data processed by Arctic Insurance AS are required for the conclusion, implementation and management of pension and/or personal insurance agreements. Arctic Insurance is a data processor; cf. Section 2, No. 5, Personal Data Act, while the customer is the person responsible for processing such personal data, cf. section 2, subsection 4, section 2 of the Personal Information Act.

Processing of personal data

Arctic Insurance processes personal information about customer employees related to brokerage and consulting services provided by Arctic Insurance.

We divide personal information into the following categories:

1. General identification and contact information- Name, address, e-mail address, sex, date of birth

2. Identification numbers issued by public authorities Social Security

3. Health condition and health status Health status and notification of claims/claims handling

4. Financial Information

- Income/pensionable income, account number, assets and other financial information

Sensitive personal information, including paragraphs 2.3 and 4, is stored in a separate password protection database and deleted after completion of customer relationships.

Collection of personal data

When we collect personal information, this is because it is necessary in connection with the establishment and management of insurance contracts. Arctic Insurance uses telephone, e-mail and other digital communication channels to retrieve such information from customers. In addition to contractual and statutory obligations, we may only use personal information by consent. Consent shall be given voluntarily and the person concerned should be informed of the purpose of using the information.

Access to personal data

In connection with insurance brokerage and counseling, as well as assistance in insurance claims, Arctic Insurance may make personal information available to third parties, that is, insurers and agents. Third parties shall comply with Arctic Insurance's requirements and applicable laws regarding the processing and use of personal data at all times.

We undertake not to disclose personal information to outside parties without the consent of the person concerned, unless there is an order from a court or other authority.

Archiving and deletion of personal data

Personal data will only be stored as long as Arctic Insurance has a proper need for this in connection with the performance of contractual obligations. When it is no longer necessary to store personal information, the information will be erased or anonymized.

How we secure the information

Arctic Insurance has implemented organizational and technical measures to ensure that the personal data processed are filed, and used for the intended purpose only. By organizational measures, we mean best practice routines, confidentiality declarations and internal training relevant to the processing of personal data. By technical measures, we mean access restrictions, operating routines and electronic archiving associated with IT systems.
